Oregon Coast Road Trip
► Part 1 – #ecolastatepark & #cannonbeach
We started off our Oregon Coast road trip with a bang! Ecola State Park was an AWESOME place to hike, and Cannon Beach was absolutely stunning. This was a great first day and kicked off our entire adventure on the right foot.
► Part 2 – #oregoncoast sites & #oregondunes
Along the Oregon Coast are a few INCREDIBLE sites you have to stop at: God’s Thumb, Devil’s Punchbowl, Tillamook Creamery, Bandon Beach, and of course the Oregon Sand Dunes! The dunes are awesome to drive on, and if you want to go dune-buggying, this is the perfect place to do it!
► Part 3 – #samuelhboardman
the Samuel H Boardman State Scenic Corridor was our single favorite section of the Oregon Coast. This area is just 15-20 miles long, but is absolutely PACKED with awesome things to see. Arch Rock, Natural Bridges, Thomas Creek Bridge, Indian Sands Trail, Whale’s Head Beach, and Harris Beach were some of our favorite places we’ve ever been! You MUST see a sunset from Harris Beach, it is pure heaven.
► Part 4 – #californiaredwoods
Okay, so this isn’t exactly along the Oregon coast, but it is close! Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is just over the Oregon-California border, and makes for a perfect last stop to your Oregon Coast adventure. These redwoods, including the famous Grove of Titans, are some of the biggest and oldest trees on planet earth, and you’ll be right in there neighborhood! Do yourself a favor and check them out right after your Oregon Coast road trip.
Hi, we are Julie & Zach, a couple who sold everything in 2018 and took off an adventure around the world! So far, this journey has taken us in a van ALL ACROSS the United States and Canada, from snorkeling with manatees in Florida to camping in the Grand Canyon to climbing glaciers in Canada, and everything in between! We were both working and going to school while living in Chicago in 2017 and 2018, and to be honest it really wore on us. We were exhausted, unfulfilled, and ready for an adventure. So, we made it happen! We saved up AS MUCH as we could over those 2 years – all homemade meals, no shopping, walk or bike everywhere, etc – and sold almost all of our belongings! With that money, we bought a renovated a van that we have been living in ever since! We started our YouTube channel a few weeks ago and have been loving creating videos! When we started, we were SO SO SO SO bad at it, and to be honest we still kinda suck, but we want to get better! What videos do you want to see? What do you want to know? Let us know and we will make it happen!
We believe that travel is truly a life-changing experience, it certainly changed ours! When you get out of your everyday world and experience new cultures, foods, places, people, sights, sounds, and take an adventure, you grow as a person and you become a better version of yourself! You are WAY stronger than you know, and stronger than you give yourself credit for. You have the ability to do anything, so make it happen! BE FOREVER FREE!
